150827 Sleepy Conan

For some reason, Corky has decided in the last couple of weeks that up under inside the curtains
is the place that he wants to be. Here he is captured slinking away from and blinded from one of his lairs.

150426 Street Painting

I found this painting in frame earlier tonight propped against a tree on the corner

of Charles and Clifton Streets. I think it's 'Partenkirchen' by CAROLUS 1957.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a mountain resort town in Bavaria, southern Germany. It is the administrative centre of the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the Oberbayern region, and the district is on the border with Austria. Nearby is Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, at 2961 m (9714 ft.).

Garmisch and Partenkirchen remained separate until their respective mayors were forced by Adolf Hitler to combine the two market towns in 1935 in anticipation of the 1936 Winter Olympic games. Today, the united town is casually (but incorrectly) referred to as Garmisch, much to the dismay of Partenkirchen's residents.

I tried to shoot a 'Corky visits Partenkirchen' image, but he didn't stay put on the dining-room table long enough for me to light/compose it better. Maybe there's hope for the spider plant—he didn't touch it when he was beside it.

150425 4lbs later...

In the 6 or so weeks that Matt (below)—who I re-christened from Maple as he was picked up by Mom with
a lot more matting than when he got here—was visiting his friend Corky (above), Corky went from 13lbs to 17lbs.
He was eating his dinner, and then Matt's who ate sparingly.

It may be because Matt decided that he disliked going out in the ice and snow here at Duncan Street and
decided he'd go vegetarian. He began to nourish himself off my pretty spider plant on the dining-room table.
Corky soon joined him and began to eat that too. I'm still waiting to see if the plant will recover.
